This page explains what I do with your information. No jargon, no small print.
Who I am
I'm Thomas Kirven. I run Grow for Good as an individual, based in Oxford. You can reach me at [email] or write to [service address].
What I collect, and why
If you get in touch, I keep your name, contact details, and a record of our conversations, so I can pick up where we left off rather than asking you to start again.
If you take one of the assessments, I keep your answers and your results. That's the whole point of them.
If you sign up for emails, I keep your email address until you unsubscribe.
The sensitive bit
Some of what we talk about is personal: your faith, your relationships, how you're doing. UK law treats that as a special category, so I'll ask your permission at the start.
Keeping notes is part of how I work. After we meet I write things down, and those notes go into the system I use to keep track of the people I'm walking with. It's how I remember what matters to you rather than making you repeat yourself. Sometimes I also use a tool that records and transcribes our conversation, and I'll ask you about that separately. Either way, if you'd rather I didn't, or you change your mind later, just say.
Where it lives
I use ordinary tools to run this work: Attio to keep track of relationships, Google for documents and calendar, Mailchimp for emails, Jotform for the free assessment, WhatsApp for messages, and Spiritual Metrics for the Spiritual Transformation Inventory. Some are based outside the UK, including the United States, and use approved safeguards for handling data.
I don't sell your information. I don't share it with anyone unless you ask me to, or unless I'm seriously worried about your safety or someone else's, or the law requires it.
How long I keep it
These relationships often come back around years later, so I keep records for as long as a relationship is live or might reasonably pick up again. When it's clear that's over, I delete them. And you can ask me to delete yours at any point, whatever the reason. Just email me.
What you can ask for
You can ask to see what I hold, correct it, delete it, or take it elsewhere. You can withdraw permission whenever you like. Email me and I'll sort it, normally within a month.
If I get something wrong with your information, tell me and I'll put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though I'd rather you came to me first.
Cookies
This site uses cookies to work properly and to tell me roughly how many people visit. You'll get a choice about the non-essential ones when you arrive.
